Kendall Tyson Senior Vice President, Finance and Business Intelligence at Seattle Kraken

About Kendall: Kendall Tyson is the Senior Vice President of Finance and Business Intelligence for the Seattle Kraken. She is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, data management and financial affairs of the Kraken and its affiliates. In her role, Kendall manages the use of data to drive revenue growth, conduct financial analysis, create personalized guest experiences, and facilitate business efficiency with automated reporting.

Prior to joining the Kraken, Kendall led corporate development at Topgolf, where she evaluated mobile apps, entertainment venues and golf technology for M&A or partnership. Earlier in her career, she advised state and local government agencies on business transformations as a Management Consultant at Accenture.

Kendall holds a B.A. degree from Emory University, a B.S. degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Yale School of Management. She currently resides in Seattle, WA with her husband and two children.

1. What’s your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part of the job is seeing the impact of the work I do on the fan experience at our games and in the community.

2. What’s your favorite thing about being on the WiST board?

My favorite thing about being on the WiST board is helping women who share my passion for sports and technology gain opportunities in the industry.

3. If you could be a professional athlete in any sport, what would it be?

I would be a professional snowboarder.

4. What is your favorite sports tech wearable for your own personal use? OURA, Whoop, Garmin, Apple Watch, etc.

5. Which talent would you most like to have? 

I would most like to be more patient.

6. What is your favorite live sports memory? 

Seeing the regular season home opener of the Minnesota Wild.

7. What do you consider your greatest achievement? 

My greatest achievement is finding my life partner, who is my best friend and building a family together.

8. What is your most treasured possession? 

My most treasured possessions are my kids.

9. Where would you like to live? 

I would love to live in the southern California coast.

10. Who are your heroes in real life? 

My parents are my heroes in life, and I also look up to Michelle Obama.

11. If you could wear only one jersey for the rest of your life, what jersey would you wear? 

Kraken home jersey.

12. What are your go-to game/match foods and beverages, in-stadium and at home? 

I love a good brat during an outdoor stadium game, but inside an arena, I like fish tacos or nachos.

13. What is your favorite sports tech partnership or sports tech integration? 

A recent sports tech integration that I love is the 'Just Walk Out' Amazon technology integration into stadiums and arenas to quickly.
