Devoted sports tech enthusiast, Nina is currently working as account manager for STATSports and continues to help build the WiST community and initiatives to change the ratio. She is a recent graduate and student-athlete at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. With her experience on the women’s rowing team for over 3 years and her passion for working with sport-related startups, she finds joy working for an organization that encompasses both dynamics. Luker earned a Carolina Blue Honors fellowship allowing her to travel to Cape Town, South Africa over the summer of 2017 to work for a sport marketing start-up called Varsity Sports, an up-and-coming NCAA for South African universities. As the only female in an international, male-dominated work place, she has experienced what it feels like to be underrepresented. Luker’s passion for sports tech and exposure to sports tech businesses have inspired her to co-found Women in Sports Tech to make a difference and inspire change in our current business environment. Her experience as a Carolina Blue Honors fellow drove the launch of the WiST Fellowship program.
