Marilou McFarlane has worked passionately building sports tech start-up businesses for much of the last decade. Most recently as CEO of venture-funded Edufii, she guided this leading mobile platform for connected coaching to successful merger/acquisition. Prior to that, as VP Business Development for the SaaS platform SportsBoard, she led the NCAA channel’s growth, and secured partnerships with US Soccer, IMG Academy, Perfect Game Baseball and others across all sports. As Founder/CEO of Vivo Girls Sports, McFarlane and her team created a digital media property that was rapidly accepted globally by young women 13-24 years old, Olympians and advertisers alike, and inspired the launch of espnW.
McFarlane also enjoyed many years working in media and marketing, driving growth and generating meaningful revenue working with marquee brands and advertisers. A former NCAA DI athlete and 3:06 marathon runner, she is a natural and enthusiastic leader. She’s very proud of her fire captain husband who played college football and their two daughters who are champion UNC soccer players and both played professionally before beginning their careers in healthcare and tech.
